We should file this under "heavy f$#king funeral doom", because that's what we're dealing with here. Locally born doomsters Foehammer just previewed the cover art for their forthcoming self-titled debut album, released via Grimoire Records.
The illustration was done by Luciana Nedelea, and clearly she's done an amazing job. I seriously love the artwork here and they'd better have some shirts with their new cover on it because I really, really want one. Hope to see Luciana's art on more album covers in the future.
Grimoire Records announced that we might be getting a preview of a studio track tomorrow, so keep it here for updates.
Foehammer also has a few shows coming up if I'm not mistaken, and you can see them all here.
Their bone-crushingly delicious and deep brutal doom riffage is destined to go places. The guys of Foehammer are all supremely talented and have a knack for writing material that blows minds. A couple of the members were formerly in a project called Gradius, and it was known to locals as one of the most technically intense metal bands to ever come out of the area. If their live shows thus far are any indication, combined with the skill of its members, Vang Ghazi, Jay Cardinell, and Joseph Cox, who all have a command over their instruments that is truly impressive to behold, Foehammer's debut will be an absolute must-have for fans of Dark Funeral and other equally deep and delightfully depressing doom.
