Last Night's Game Of Thrones Was Metal As Fuck

Holy shit. Those last five minutes. Holy shit. Spoiler alert!

Oberyn Martell

It was, quite literally, skull-crushing.

I was really impressed with this one for how they built up to that fucking ending. Aside from the whole episode just being metal as fuck - Sansa lying to a council to protect Baelish's murder of his wife after he totally made the moves on Sansa in front of her, then getting all goth-ed out near the end of the episode symbolizing her potential turn to the dark side (welcome, we really do have cookies), to Arya and the badass rogue guy she's traveling discussing the best ways to kill (I fucking love those guys, they're my favorites), to a really funny and deep conversation between the awesome Tyrion (who may or may not get executed in the next episode) and his weirdo brother with (as always) incredible fucking acting from Peter Dinklage - that fucking ending was the most brutal and unexpected ending I've seen in a long time.

Here I was thinking the story was starting to slip, perhaps even becoming predictable, as the Oberyn Martell hops around his opponent taunting him and demanding he confess to the murder and rape of his sister and her children. He even stabs the guy in the gut, making you think this is pretty much over for him and that they're going for a really satisfying death scene in favor of Martell.

Sansa Stark (photo: when you think he's about to kill him, the guy knocks him to the ground, gets atop him and crushes his fucking skull through his eyes with his bare fucking hands.

If that's not metal as fuck, I don't know what is.

Oh, and something happened with that Daenerys but I don't really pay much attention to her. I'm sure she's a nice person and all, but I really can't stand Emilia Clarke's acting. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. Nothing personal. I just don't dig her acting style.

That fucking ending, man. They snuck that shit up on me.

Also, Sansa rocks the evil look quite well. Fingers crossed she adopts it for the long-term (or, for however long of a term you can really have on Game of Thrones).
