Opeth Reveals New Album Deets

Opeth Reveals Release Date for PALE COMMUNIONOpeth revealed the title and release date of their new album today: it will be titled Pale Communion and is slated for release on June 17th via Roadrunner Records.

Co-produced by Mikael Akerfeldt and Steven Wilson (of Porcupine Tree), this album I am very anxious to hear after reading the track-by-track review by Greg Kennelty on Metal Injection. Dude said it was the best shit ever, totally different from the direction they went with Heritage (due in part to its poor reception amongst longtime Opeth fans).

Unlike lucky bastard Greg, we won't be able to hear anything until May 6th, when they intend to release the track Cusp of Eternity.

I don't care what anybody says, even after the few snorts and harumphs I've heard already about it. I'm fucking excited, and my hopes are high for this one. Please don't crush them, Opeth!
